About The Voice
The Voice Magazine has been the official publication of the students of Athabasca University since 1992. This publication is made possible through funding by the Athabasca University Students’ Union. It is our mission to provide a quality magazine composed of articles—created by members of the AU community, including primarily AU students and graduates, as well as occasional guest writers from other universities—that share news, ideas, opinions, and insights with all our students.
Our goal is to foster some sense of connection between our distance students, something that goes beyond the short snippets of social media and give you a sense of the person you’re reading, as well as hopefully providing you with some insight, inspiration, education, or just some good old entertainment.
We rely on the efforts of student writers to contribute to The Voice, as it is both a community project of the student body, and a collaborative production of ourselves as learners and as individuals. We are constantly searching for new writers who are interested in joining our staff, and we would love to hear from you.
Feel free to contact us with any questions or feedback, or to write a letter to the editor.
Thank you for reading The Voice, and as I always say–enjoy the read!
