Research Assistant Opportunity—Young and Possibly Dying

Research Assistant Opportunity—Young and Possibly Dying

Like twinkling stars that appear only on the clearest nights, our existence is a mere spark that can pass away at a moment’s notice.  This research assistant posting inquires into what “mature minors” think about death and dying and, by extension, what sort of hermeneutics they apply to the meaning of life.  The person chosen for this position will interview “vulnerable populations” on these topics; ability to travel to conduct these information settings is a must.  First under supervision, and then independently, such interviews will glean qualitative information about the mental state of affairs related to death and dying among select youth populations – specifically those who are facing end of life issues themselves.

Background in dealing with children, ethics, and interviews – along with excellent social skills, is required.  Interested applicants can send resume, cover letter, 1-2 references, and an example of your scholarly writing to clamb@athabascau.ca
