Tools for overcoming procrastination! A student requests advice on overcoming procrastination, given a self-diagnosis of possible ADHD. Other students say to set a timer for an hour, then take a break or continue studying, whichever is desired. Snacks, music, and study partners are also recommended. Goal setting, such as “three chapters or a single unit,” is also suggested. Another student sets a timer for 3 or 4 hours and treats that time like a career, where bathroom breaks and short stretches are allowed. This student gamifies the studies, such as competing with oneself, based on task completion time. Checklists are also recommended.
