Goodnight, Nurse!

Research Assistant Opportunity—Education in Nursing and the Need for Access to New Evidence

The education of nurses is front and centre in our times of changing health care dilemmas amid a burgeoning population.  This Research Assistant will analyze research dissertations, and their dissemination, so as to improve quality of care by nurses whose obligations are widening to meet present needs.  Dr. Petrovic is seeking to hire someone who has an undergraduate degree, experience in nurse education, sterling writing skills, and who proves effective at an “appraisal of qualitative and quantitative research, data collection and analysis, and manuscript and presentation development.”

We all have bodies here in Canada and for our system to work innovation and improvements are a necessity—market forces are not available to, as it were, weed out poor practices.  And, with sites like WebMD on the queue of many a worried patient’s research list, acquitting nurses with the best data from accredited sources has never been more important.  If all this sounds intriguing, please send your resume, transcript, references, and cover letter to Dr.  Kristin Petrovic kpetrovic@athabascau.ca.
